Remote Freelance PostgreSQL Database Architect

ThreatXIntel is a startup company specializing in providing customized cyber security solutions to businesses and organizations. Our team continuously monitors and tests clients' digital environments to identify vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
We are seeking a skilled Freelance PostgreSQL Database Administrator with strong expertise in database architecture, high availability, and optimization in enterprise environments. The successful candidate will install, configure, and maintain databases, perform advanced SQL performance tuning, and manage upgrades and migrations.
- Install, configure, and maintain databases.
- Perform advanced SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
- Manage database upgrades, migrations, patching, and version control.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of hands-on DBA experience with PostgreSQL.
- Strong expertise with Cloud SQL (MySQL) and advanced SQL performance tuning.
- Solid background in Oracle DBA (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning).
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems for database administration.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
While not essential, the following skills would be beneficial:
- Experience migrating from SQL to PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of database monitoring tools and observability solutions.
