CAE Modeling Specialist

The role of the CAE simulation engineer is a key position within our organization. The primary focus will be on component-level safety systems, with an emphasis on steering wheels.
This position requires proficiency in tools such as Hypermesh and Abaqus CAE. Additionally, experience with LS-Dyna (optional) is highly desirable.
The simulation engineer will independently handle and execute CAE activities, with minimal guidance and full ownership. Delivering quality results on time is paramount to success in this role.
A strategic context for this position involves executing meshing and simulation projects, learning and adopting new tools, processes, and methods to execute diverse tasks, supporting simulation activities across multiple TC's for steering wheel projects, taking responsibility and ownership of personal deliverables, performing conclusive analysis of test and simulation results to drive improvements, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and being flexible to work in different shifts to support multiple ALV sites.
The core responsibilities and activities associated with this role include having 1-3 years of relevant experience, possessing strong fundamentals, analytical ability, and engineering basics, proficiency in pre-processors like Hyperworks, LS-Pre-Post, ESI tools, and Primer, hands-on experience in Abaqus/LS-Dyna (Basic) – Implicit and Explicit Analysis, owning deliverables and support for team activities, conclusive analysis of test/simulation results and recommendation of improvements, quality and timely delivery of tasks and projects, ability to learn and create new methods to execute multiple projects simultaneously, good communication skills, and adaptability to changing business scenarios and working in shifts.
Functional competencies for this position include FEA tools, pre-processor expertise in Hypermesh and Abaqus CAE, solver experience in Abaqus, OptiStruct, LS-Dyna (optional), ownership of all CAE activities, customer focus to drive customer satisfaction, execution management to manage and execute projects, and accountability to adhere to set processes and implement improvements.
Required qualifications for this role include education in B.E. in Mechanical/Automotive/Industrial Engineering, certifications/accreditations related to CAE software preferred, 1-3 years of relevant CAE experience, automotive domain experience is an added advantage, proficiency in English, Kannada, Hindi, and adaptability to changing business scenarios and flexibility to work in shifts.
