Business Analysis Manager for Digital Transformation

Baxter is embarking on a transformative journey to separate its ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company, Vantive. As a seasoned Business Analysis Manager, you will play a crucial role in defining and supporting the development of valuable, feasible, viable, and usable digital products and technical solutions that meet customer needs throughout the solution's lifecycle.

The Global Functional Analyst (FA) is responsible for developing product/solution roadmaps for assigned scope areas, working closely with business partners and Product Managers (PMs) to understand and communicate their needs. They will collaborate with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), other IT stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various areas to determine how technology can enhance business processes, drive business value, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans and goals for products/solutions and teams, ensuring constant communication and consensus-building with PMs and BRMs.
  • Plan the implementation of solutions to maximize product/solution value.
  • Work daily with user experience designers, visual designers, and software engineers to make strategic and tactical decisions about product/solution functionality, balancing business goals, user goals, scalability/maintainability, time-to-market, and process efficiency.
  • Create prototypes, flow diagrams, use case documents, story maps, and mockups to visualize and describe feature characteristics.
  • Identify potential technology options and complete IT cost assessments, supported by IT architecture resources as needed.
  • Capture business and functional requirements and write clear specifications for development teams.
  • Define features and prioritize them with the PM to ensure a continuous flow of value creation.
  • Ensure delivery of prioritized features, advising on value versus effort and fit to the roadmap.
  • Lead process governance efforts to harmonize processes and system solutions whenever possible.
  • Innovate through research and prototyping, driving the development and adoption of next-generation technologies and business practices.
  • Work with technical architects and engineers to define technical solutions and enablers aligned with functional and non-functional requirements and process flows.
  • Integrate upcoming enabler work, such as architecture, data privacy, security, regulatory compliance, into the backlog with the PM.
  • Collaborate with teams to agree on accepted story completion.
  • Use survey results, user interviews, data/analytics, and insights to continuously improve and scale products/solutions and employ solution strategies.
  • Act as a change champion for new ways of working.
  • Participate in team demos and retrospectives.
  • Report progress and status in terms of business and customer outcomes.
  • Support internal change management teams and external marketing teams to drive adoption and deliver products/solutions to market.
  • Gather input from various internal stakeholders, external resources, including vendors.
  • Manage projects through all phases and milestones.
  • Serve as the primary contact to the business for systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-7 years' experience in digital/technical product/solution ownership.
  • Established commercial business acumen.
  • Technical aptitude to convey and collaborate around desired functionality, particularly with cloud applications.
  • Prior experience or ability to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles.
  • Strong understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture.
  • Understanding of SAFe (Agile at scale) approach is a plus.
  • Skills in prototyping and rapid ideation/discovery.
  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability and maturity to manage senior-level stakeholders globally.
  • Experience in working in regulated environments (i.e., privacy/compliance).
  • Design thinking awareness and prior usage strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Finance, Medical Affairs, and Corporate Website Business Processes and Technologies desired.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and market conditions. Baxter offers a comprehensive compensation package, including benefits, bonuses, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
