The Opcenter Core & Electronics (Camstar) MES Expert plays a pivotal role in the planning, designing, configuring, developing, and testing of the Opcenter application. This expert works closely with the operations team to ensure smooth implementation and maintenance of the application, fostering seamless integration with Siemens technology for closed-loop manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Siemens Opcenter Core & Electronics (Camstar MES) application to meet operational needs, aligning with business objectives.
  • Analyze, design, configure, develop, and test requested functionality in the development environment, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Install and configure high-availability for Opcenter Core & Electronics.
  • Collaborate with the operations team in testing and accepting new changes in the Opcenter test environment.
  • Migrate newly developed functionality to the production environment with minimal negative impact on the business, working with the DBA team.
  • Monitor the Opcenter Core & Electronics application to ensure normal operation in the production line, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Document key applications, adhering to industry-leading practices and company policies.
  • Participate in global IT teams for Opcenter Core & Electronics MES projects and support activities.
  • Train junior or new team members and users as required.
  • Support analytics efforts, driving data-driven decision-making.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess 5+ years of experience in planning, designing, configuring, developing, implementing, and maintaining Opcenter Core & Electronics (Camstar MES) applications, demonstrating expertise.
  • Lead and implement 2 or more deployments of Siemens Opcenter implementations, showcasing leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Modeling, Printing & Labeling Change, CIO setting, Portal Layout Changes, and Business Rules.
  • Have experience and knowledge in Opcenter Core Designer.
  • Show strong problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent, with a Master of Science preferred.
