About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backend Systems Development: Design, develop and optimize backend services using Java, Spring Boot and Microservices.
  • API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs ensuring performance, security and scalability.
  • Database Management: Work with SQL/MySQL to design schemas, optimize queries and improve database performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers and QA teams to deliver features end-to-end.
  • Deployment: Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
  • Architecture Discussions: Contribute to architecture discussions and design decisions for new systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Backend Development Experience: 5-8 years of backend development experience with Java.
  • Spring Boot Expertise: Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
  • Database Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SQL/MySQL (indexes, joins, query optimization and data modeling).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Solid debugging and problem-solving skills with production systems.
  • Preferred Technologies: Experience with Kafka, Redis and NoSQL databases is highly preferred.
  • Cloud and Containerization: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Software Engineering Best Practices: Understanding of software engineering best practices (Agile, CI/CD and TDD).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
