Job Title: Azure Cloud Data Architect

This position is responsible for designing and implementing data architectures using Azure cloud services.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Azure Developer to join our team as a Cloud Data Architect. As part of the team, you will be involved in the implementation of ongoing and new initiatives for our company.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing data pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Primary Skills: ADF, Databricks
Secondary Skills: Data warehousing, SQL programming, Shell/PowerShell scripting, relational/non-relational databases, data streams, file stores, performance tuning, data profiling/validation, requirements gathering/documentation, unit testing, QA/testing processes.

  • Translate functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications
  • Develop efficient code with unit testing and code documentation
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, documenting, testing, and problem solving
  • Communicate with all project stakeholders on project status

  • Proficient in basic and advanced SQL programming concepts
  • Good knowledge and understanding of data warehouse concepts
  • Knowledgeable in shell/powershell scripting, relational/non-relational databases, data streams, file stores
  • Knowledgeable in performance tuning and optimization
  • Experience in data profiling and validation
  • Understanding and implementing QA and various testing processes
