Cloud Infrastructure Expert

This is a senior-level position that requires expertise in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

The ideal candidate will have 7-9 years of experience in information technology, with a strong background in AWS implementation and administration. Experience with repository management, IaC tools, and secure networking practices within the AWS infrastructure is also essential.

  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and highly available AWS architectures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust AWS solutions (DevOps, Development, Security)
  • Implement and maintain AWS monitoring systems
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies
  • Develop strategies for optimizing AWS costs without compromising performance or security

Responsibilities include:

  1. Responds to systems alerts, investigates and resolves related system failures, and recovers/restores failed systems and applications
  2. Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions and training programs for team members
  3. Mentor other team members in all facets listed above

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Strong experience implementing access control using IAM
  • Experience with repository management (Git)
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and monitoring AWS Workspaces
  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible Tower, AWS CloudFormation)
  • Strong AWS implementation and administration experience
  • Experience monitoring/maintaining secure networking practices within the AWS infrastructure
  • Experience monitoring/maintaining multi-region disaster recovery solutions using AWS services
  • Experience with CloudTrail and CloudWatch
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

Preferred skills/experience:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Scripting capability and ability to develop scripted AWS infrastructure
  • General understanding of multi-region and hybrid cloud architectures
