Job Overview:

Maintain and operate machinery in a manufacturing environment, adhering to strict operational procedures.

  • Machine Operation: Ensure accurate and efficient production by operating and monitoring machinery according to established protocols.
  • Setup and Calibration: Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines to guarantee precise performance and minimize downtime.
  • Equipment Checks: Conduct routine inspections to prevent equipment failure and ensure smooth operations.
  • Quality Control: Maintain product quality standards during machine operations, adhering to industry guidelines.
  • Data Recording: Accurately record machine operating data, production outputs, and maintenance logs.
  • Material Management: Ensure material feeding, changeovers, and line clearance are performed as required.
  • Reporting and Escalation: Promptly report and escalate equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or abnormalities.
  • Maintenance Support: Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities in coordination with the technical team.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment, adhering to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience and Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with machine operation and maintenance is essential.
    • Strong understanding of machine operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines (GMP, HACCP).
    • Ability to conduct and document in-process checks accurately.
    • Attention to detail, ownership, and adherence to SOPs.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, QA, and maintenance teams.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in a related field.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or ISO 22000 is desirable.
  • Experience in supporting process development or scale-up trials is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical troubleshooting is advantageous.
