2D Game Artist Position

This role entails the creation of visually appealing 2D game art assets, including characters, backgrounds, and props for mobile gaming platforms.

As a seasoned 2D Game Artist, you will be responsible for designing and illustrating high-quality 2D characters that meet our specific needs.

You will adhere to a structured production pipeline, ensuring timely and efficient creation of production-ready art.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and illustrate 2D characters for mobile gaming platforms
  • Create visually engaging 2D backgrounds, props, clothing, and other game art assets
  • Export and assemble final assets from source files according to technical guidelines and file specifications
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, techniques, and artistic workflows

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also:

  • Regularly play our games to assess aesthetics, user experience, and gameplay flow
  • Offer clear, actionable feedback on visual and gameplay enhancements based on playtesting
  • Stay current with tools and workflows, adapting to new techniques as needed
  • Ensure visual consistency by matching established styles and identifying deviations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the gaming or animation industry, with a strong focus on mobile game development
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop with advanced 2D character illustration skills
  • Experience in creating 2D characters, backgrounds, props, clothing, and other visual assets for mobile games
  • Strong aesthetic sense with a solid foundation in graphic design principles
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining thorough working habits
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced production environments and meeting tight deadlines
  • Passionate about mobile gaming—with hands-on experience in designing and producing art specifically for mobile game titles
  • Capable of matching a wide range of art styles and visually distinguishing between them for consistent and cohesive asset creation
