About this Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Components Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of automotive electrical and electronic commodities.

This is a critical role in our organization, requiring strong expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor development, localisation, and cost management.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Select, develop, and negotiate with suppliers for electrical and electronic components used in vehicles.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, raw material cost fluctuations, and new technologies in automotive electronics.
  • Develop and implement localisation projects to reduce dependency on imports and improve supply chain resilience.
  • Collaborate with R&D, design, and quality teams to ensure supplier alignment with technical requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance for Quality, Cost, and Delivery parameters and initiate improvements.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic commodity procurement.
  • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor development, localisation, and cost management.
  • Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier management skills.
  • Exposure to APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality processes in the automotive industry.
  • ERP knowledge (SAP/Oracle or equivalent) and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in a related field such as Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration. You should also have at least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive industry.
