Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled API Quality Assurance Engineer to test and validate MuleSoft APIs, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements, are defect-free, and perform with high reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design detailed testing strategies, plans, and scenarios for MuleSoft APIs.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of MuleSoft APIs.
  • Validate RESTful and SOAP-based APIs, checking response formats, headers, status codes, and business logic.
  • Execute API mocking and simulate downstream system responses.
  • Design and develop automated API test scripts (ReadyAPI preferred; Postman, SoapUI, JMeter acceptable).
  • Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines.
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA.
  • Prepare and maintain testing documentation including test cases, scripts, and summary reports.
  • Write complex SQL queries for backend data verification.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years in API testing, with 3+ years in MuleSoft API testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Proficiency in API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, ReadyAPI).
  • Knowledge of MuleSoft platform components and architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
