Senior Revenue Cycle Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to set up, lead and manage a new RCM team in India. This role requires end-to-end knowledge of the US healthcare revenue cycle, including medical billing, coding, prior authorization, denial management and US healthcare insurance verification.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of 4+ experienced billers and coders to ensure compliant and high-quality delivery for US clients.
  • Establish standard operating procedures, workflows and performance metrics from the ground up.
RCM Operations Management:
  • Medical Billing & Coding: Ensure accurate and efficient processing of medical claims.
  • Prior Authorizations: Coordinate with payers to secure pre-authorization for services.
  • Payer Credentialing: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payer information.
  • US Healthcare Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits.
  • Charge Entry & Payment Posting: Accurately post payments and charges to patient accounts.
  • Denials Management: Identify and resolve denied claims in a timely manner.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) Follow-ups: Monitor and follow up on outstanding patient balances.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and process efficiency throughout all operations.
Performance & Quality Control:
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as AR days, First Pass Resolution Rate and Denial % to ensure optimal revenue cycle performance.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks to improve revenue cycle efficiency and reduce costs.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
  • Liaise directly with US stakeholders for process updates and escalations to ensure seamless communication.
  • Provide regular reports and actionable management insights to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of proven experience in US RCM, with 3+ years in a billing manager/supervisor role.
  • Strong expertise in medical billing, medical coding, prior authorization, denial management and insurance verification.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS and major PM/EHR systems (Athena, eCW, AdvancedMD, Kareo, Practice Fusion and NextGen).
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership presence and decision-making skills.
