Cloud Storage Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Storage Optimization Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud storage systems and the ability to optimize their performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing tests that expose weaknesses in storage tiering, kernel interactions, and edge cases. They will also shift-left testing through fault injection, fuzzing, and adversarial approaches.

The role requires strong scripting experience with Java, Python, Bash, or Go, as well as hands-on experience with Linux/Windows storage stacks and benchmarking tools such as fio and vdbench.

A strong background in kernel debugging, including familiarity with strace, eBPF, and WinDbg, is also essential. Additionally, experience with cloud storage platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design tests that simulate filesystem corruption, kernel panics, and recovery scenarios.
  • Build test frameworks to artificially induce I/O storms, memory leaks, and resource starvation.
  • Mentor engineers in defensive thinking and establish CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in testing storage systems, filesystems, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
