Operational Risk Management Expertise

A distinguished professional opportunity has arisen to spearhead and manage strategic projects across diverse operational risk management domains.

  • The role involves collaborating with a broad spectrum of stakeholders from every corner of the firm, conducting in-depth investigations of operational risk and governance standards, and undertaking comprehensive risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) initiatives.
  • Demonstrate independence in planning and stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation and presentation, and the production of documentation robust enough to substantiate a sound challenge to both internal and external parties.
  • Responsible for preparation of proposals, pitch decks, presenting in client meetings and thought leadership documents across various ORM related areas.
  • Lead and be accountable for team building, mentoring and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Internal Control Assessments: Develop SOPs and policies, third-party risk management, incident management and reporting, loss data, and business continuity for financial institutions.
  • Review and Verification: Validate existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices for theoretical soundness, ensuring ongoing monitoring as well as contributing to the firm-wide risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) exercise.
  • Business Needs and Regulatory Expectations: Meet requirements for assessing key aspects of each area under review, including assessment approach, underlying assumptions, and associated limitations.
  • Global Scope: Work with an incredibly broad group of stakeholders, investigating operational risk and governance standards, and undertaking detailed risk and control self-assessment (RCSA).
Requirements:
  • Operational Risk Management: Possess a deep understanding of operational risk management requirements for the financial services industry.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Be aware of local regulatory requirements for FIs across banking, insurance, and NBFCs issued by respective regulators.
  • GRC Tools: Familiarity with GRC tools such as MetricStream, SAP GRC, etc. would be advantageous.
