Software Engineering Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our software development team and drive innovation in healthcare data analysis.

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Programmer to provide programming support across various projects, clients, and therapeutic areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing complex algorithms to manipulate large databases and generate reports using SAS and SQL programming skills.
  • Developing patient cohorts and evaluating patient healthcare events in large databases using observational research methods like epidemiology and statistical methods.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop advanced statistical models to analyze large datasets and identify trends and patterns.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and functionality.
  3. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers to help them grow in their careers.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in R and SQL, with experience in database programming using SQL.
  • Expertise in Oncology databases such as Flatiron and COTA, with a good understanding of Oncology-specific analyses like Line of Therapy algorithms and Survival analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other subject with high statistical content, with a minimum of 7-8 years SAS statistical programming experience.
