BIS Consultant Job Description

Our core services include Bureau of Indian Standards certification, BEE ratings, WPC/ETA approvals, EPR approvals, FSSAI, iCAT, ARAI, and more.

We are seeking an experienced BIS Consultant to lead our clients through the ISI Mark Scheme under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The consultant will play a key role in ensuring compliance with BIS standards for manufacturers and importers of products. Key responsibilities include:

  • Expert Guidance on BIS Certification
  • Assisting clients in identifying applicable BIS standards and categories for their products.
  • Preparing and submitting BIS applications and required documentation.
  • Coordinating with BIS-recognized laboratories for product testing and obtaining necessary test reports.
  • Ensuring products meet technical standards for performance and safety as required by BIS regulations.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact between clients and BIS officials to expedite the certification process.
  • Tracking and monitoring application status, ensuring timely follow-up and approval.
  • Advising clients on testing and post-certification compliance.
  • Providing ongoing support to clients in maintaining compliance, managing renewals, and addressing regulatory concerns.
  • Staying updated with changes in BIS regulations, especially for products under the ISI Mark Scheme-1.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years of working experience in BIS standards and certifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of BIS standards under the ISI Mark Scheme-1.
  • Familiarity with the BIS portal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
