Job Title: Cell Culture Specialist

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in advancing upstream process development, process scale-up, and process characterization for monoclonal antibody manufacturing.

Your expertise will drive the creation of scalable and robust processes to meet desired product yield and quality standards.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing skills to support upstream process development, process scale up, and process characterization.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams within R&D and other departments like manufacturing, quality control, and quality assurance for technical discussions related to process development, technology transfer, and process improvement.
  • Participating in technology transfer activities, coordinating with program management and cross-functional teams to deliver on program timelines.
  • Providing scientific awareness on the latest advancements in science and technology, bioprocessing.
  • Ensuring thorough data analysis for assessing upstream data and supporting technical decisions.
  • Recording and reviewing raw data in accordance with GDP principles.
  • Preparing work presentations, writing technical documents (process protocols, technical/development reports), and procedures (SOP's/IOP's/EOP's).

Special requirements:

The candidate must possess technical expertise in one of the following areas:

  • Omics technologies – Metabolomics, Metabolic Flux Analysis
  • Bioprocess modeling – Metabolic modeling, process modeling, digital twin for bioreactor or cells
  • CFD – Computational fluid dynamics to better understand and simulate bioreactor mixing

Educational requirements:

Recent PhD graduates will be considered for the role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell culture and bioprocessing, with a deep understanding of process development and scale-up strategies.
