Job Overview

Legal Counsel Role

This is a comprehensive legal support role that requires providing expert advice on various commercial, employment, intellectual property, data privacy, ethics, compliance, and generative artificial intelligence matters.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments to identify and address relevant legal issues, ensuring the organization remains compliant and risk-free.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic legal advice on complex commercial agreements, employment contracts, and intellectual property matters.
  • Managing litigation and arbitration matters, including civil, criminal, labour, property, and commercial disputes.
  • Collaborating with senior management to deliver training and legal risk management initiatives.
  • Fostering a culture of ethical conduct and compliance throughout the organization.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of post-qualification experience as an in-house lawyer and/or in law firms.
  • Experience in the Media & Entertainment or Information Technology industry is an advantage.
  • A strong command of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to identify legal risks, issues, and solutions across a broad spectrum of legal areas.
