Job Overview:

Logistics Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to lead our plant's logistics operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient material movements, inventory control, and warehouse management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business plans to enhance mill logistics operation efficiency.
  • Coordinate warehouse operations with transporters, 3P logistic providers, and ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Minimize obsolete and slow-moving materials by implementing effective inventory management strategies.
  • Ensure timely disposal of reject materials and support production from input and output material movement.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of indirect materials.
  • Verify daily production entries and transfer entries, and monthly closing activities are completed as per the central plan.
  • Prepare Material Variance reports, review, and obtain approvals for posting entries.
  • Cordinate 3P Activities monitoring, ensure FG dispatches happen as per the dispatch plan, and coordinate between production, 3P, and transporters for daily dispatches.
  • Work closely with sales supply teams to ensure timely order fulfillment to Ecom MT channels and support Ecom MT channels by providing special labeling and transportation services.
  • Support export order execution coordination as per schedule and ensure proper documentation for export shipments.
  • Maintain accurate RM PM or semifinished goods movements as per plan and monitor accounting of 3P material transfers, FG SFG, periodically, and reconcile material lying at 3Ps.
  • Conduct stock taking recording all receipts reviewing and confirming inventories, and implement effective ICP (Inventory Control Procedure).
  • Review processes on a regular basis and confirm adherence to ICP.
  • Facilitate monthly stock checks with external auditors and prepare material variance reports.
  • Take corrective actions to minimize stock gaps and variances.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in warehouse administration, quality assurance, safety, and controls.
  • Enforce safety and quality norms in the warehouse, motivating warehouse teams to increase efficiency and deliver exceptional results.
  • Maintain clean and hygienic conditions for Raw Material, Packaging, Finished Goods storage.
  • Ensure QMS requirements related to the warehouse are fulfilled and maintain FIFO for RM, PM, and FG as required.
  • Implement batch tracking and back-tracing procedures.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Product delivery to customers as per agreed schedules and in good condition.
  • Accurate inventory control of RM, PM, SFG, FG, Engg store material movements, and inventory accounting.
  • Uninterrupted plant operations through seamless material flow.
  • Sustained quality and safety standards.
  • Cost automation and team capability enhancement.
  • Correct 3P supply and accounting.

Challenges:

  • Manage over 16 lac Sqft warehouse space with accuracy.
  • Meet customer expectations through OTIF delivery.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Commerce with minimum 10 years experience in FMCG industry commercial warehouse department.
  • Diploma in Material Management or Diploma in Export and Import Management desirable.
