Job Opportunity:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-10 years of experience in PDF conversion and accessibility, knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG, Section 508, and ADA, and familiarity with tools like JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure digital content meets regulatory compliance.
  • Convert documents to accessible formats.
  • Conduct accessibility audits.
  • Maintain project documentation.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Experience in PDF conversion and accessibility.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with accessibility tools.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment.
  • Experience in the publishing or educational content industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Additional Responsibilities for XML/Epub Analysts:

  • Create, convert, validate, and quality assure digital content formats such as XML and ePub.
  • Evaluate content against industry standards and organizational/client specifications.
  • Collaborate with content developers, designers, and QA teams.
  • Develop or maintain XSLT scripts for transforming content between formats.
  • Handle metadata tagging for ebooks and digital content.
  • Test digital products across multiple devices and platforms.
  • Maintain documentation for workflows, standards, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with new developments in digital publishing standards and tools.
