Mobile App Developer Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Mobile App Developer to join our dynamic team. If you're a self-motivated individual who thrives on building and iterating quickly, you might be a great fit.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
• Work as a forward-deployed engineer, meaning you'll be integrated directly with product and operations teams to solve problems in real-time.
• Efficiently use AI-powered tools to accelerate code development, refactoring, and debugging.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Embrace a culture of rapid development, continuous integration, and fearless experimentation.

What We're Looking For:

• Self-Motivation: You take ownership of your work and are driven to find solutions without needing constant oversight. You don't make excuses; you find a way to get it done.
• Adaptability: Our company moves fast. We build and break things quickly to learn and improve. You must be comfortable with change and prepared to pivot when necessary.
• Technical Skills: You have a solid foundation in React Native and Expo. You're familiar with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and have some experience building and shipping mobile apps.
• A 'Can-Do' Attitude: We're a team of problem-solvers. If you're not someone who's willing to get your hands dirty and push through challenges, you won't last long here.

Qualifications:

• 3-4 years of experience in mobile app development, specifically with React Native and Expo.
• Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand, MobX).
• Experience with or a strong desire to learn about integrating and leveraging AI tools in your workflow (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
• A portfolio or examples of previous work (personal projects, open-source contributions, etc.) are a big plus.
