Job Opportunity

The Professional Services Engineer is a hybrid role responsible for assisting customers with software onboarding and configuration. This includes initial setup, maintenance, and integration with customer applications and data repositories.

As a key point of contact for technical support issues and questions, you will work closely with Support, Customer Success, and Training teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will manage network security, cybersecurity, and ensure the smooth operation of all technical aspects of the software.

This role requires deep knowledge of customer environments and use cases, as well as excellent problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills. You will be responsible for diagnosing problems, providing resolutions, and advising customers on technical or product issues.

Key responsibilities include managing customer goals, milestones, and issues from beginning to resolution, implementing and maintaining software in customer environments, and operating and using software to achieve customer objectives.

Additional duties may include script writing, bug reporting, testing software, personal activity tracking, CRM updates, and communication updates to management.

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 2+ years of recent experience in a professional services position in an organisation that supports a client/server software environment
  • Thorough understanding and project management skills for a professional services position
  • Storage hardware and software knowledge of NAS and Object systems (NetApp, Dell EMC, Azure, AWS etc)
  • Proficiency with Windows, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience creating complex reports and dashboards using Kibana, Tableau, and PowerBI
  • Network setup/routing with mixed LAN/WAN operating system environments and knowledge of DNS/WINS/DHCP/DFS
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional under pressure
  • Ability to influence and drive change across the organisation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Minimum CEFR Level B1 English
