Role Overview

 

This is a full-time on-site role as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer located in Navi Mumbai. The QA Engineer will ensure the quality of products and services by developing and implementing quality control processes and procedures. The QA Engineer will also conduct audits, perform inspections, and identify quality issues to drive continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures
  • Conduct audits, perform inspections, and identify quality issues
  • Collaborate with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements
  • Ensure workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues
  • Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
  • Review codes, specifications, and processes
  • Monitor all incoming, process & final inspection activities
  • Verify raw materials and inspect bought-out components
  • Train quality and production personnel to improve quality and reduce rejection
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports on time
  • Maintain rejection and rework records
  • Implement and maintain 5S practices within the department

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification with relevant experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance/control, or a similar role
  • Knowledge of Codes such as ASTM SEC II Part A & B, Sec IX, Sec V, Sec VII
  • ISO knowledge and understanding
  • Familiarity with 7 QC tools
  • Teamwork, interpersonal skills, good written and oral communication, and attention to detail
  • Technical understanding, design skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Inspection skills
  • Experience in Quality Auditing and Quality Management
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards

 

Additional qualifications such as certifications in quality control and assurance, experience in manufacturing or construction sectors, and knowledge of statistical analysis software would be beneficial for this role.
