Job Summary:

Design and Develop State-of-the-Art Energy Storage System Hardware

We are seeking an experienced hardware professional to design and develop advanced energy storage system hardware for a battery energy storage system domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power electronics, circuit design, and micro-controllers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing energy storage system hardware that meet or exceed regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide solutions to complex use cases
  • Ensuring timely delivery of modules/systems at quality levels
  • Providing customer-facing support for energy storage system hardware

Qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

BE/BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering (EEE)

Experience:

12 - 14 years of experience in designing and developing energy storage system hardware

Mandatory Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing BMS for energy storage/ESS
  • Rich hands-on experience in architecting power electronics concepts for energy storage systems
  • Experience and strong design knowledge of digital circuit design, analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, micro-processors, micro-controllers & DSPs
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries for energy storage application such as UL9540/UL1973/IEC62619/IEC 60730
  • Knowledge of PCB layout constraints
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Analog Front End circuit design for Li-ion batteries
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience using simulation tools (e.g., P-Spice, Matlab, Mathcad)
  • Experience with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience working with various sensing technologies (e.g., Temp Sensor, Voltage sensor)
  • Experience working with hardware peripherals and communication ckt design
  • Experience in Power Supply Design
  • Experience working with MOSFET driving

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of safety regulatory standards like IEC61508, ISO26262 when building HW designs
  • Contactors and Relays
  • Working knowledge of safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products
