Financial Planning Analyst Job Description

A senior financial planning analyst is needed to develop, manage, and monitor the annual operating budget and long-term financial forecasts for hospital departments and business units. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Manage Financial Models: Utilize advanced financial modeling techniques to support strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Analyze variances between actual financial results and budgets and forecasts, providing detailed explanations for deviations from plan.
  • Analyze Drivers of Financial Performance: Examine financial drivers and provide recommendations to optimize performance and achieve financial goals.
  • Collaborate with Divisional Leaders: Provide financial guidance and ensure alignment with financial objectives.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree / MBA in Finance or Accounting: A graduate degree in finance or accounting is required, along with a strong foundation in financial principles and analytical techniques.
  • 5-7 Years of Experience in Financial Planning, Analysis, and Budgeting: Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and budgeting, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Strong Attention to Detail and Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to identify trends and patterns.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications, including financial software.

Desirable Skills:

  • Data-Driven Insights: The ability to derive meaningful insights from complex financial data and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
