Job Description

This role plays a pivotal part in supporting systems to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Key responsibilities include executing risk assessments of selected business-critical third-party suppliers, contributing to the overall third-party supplier improvement program, and driving sustainability targets with suppliers.

  • Supports systems to verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Executes risk assessments of selected business-critical third-party suppliers.
  • Contributes to the overall third-party supplier improvement program.
  • Fulfills processes, standards, and ensures tracking of findings to support supplier oversight on health, safety, and environmental aspects.
  • Drives sustainability targets with suppliers.
  • Summarizes key learnings and shares where appropriate.
  • Executes the health, safety, and environmental due diligence assessments of new third-party and existing suppliers as per internal guidance and synergy with ERC and EPRM Operations.
  • Reviews and monitors health, safety, and environmental events at the supplier's base.
  • Timely reviews and monitors mitigation actions with the supplier resulting from health, safety, and environmental non-compliance and environment sustainability commitments.
  • Contributes to develop and maintain a third-party risk portfolio supporting health, safety, and environmental risk and opportunity assessment.
  • Ensures regular health, safety, and environmental training of all internal people involved in third-party processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Graduate in chemistry or chemical engineering or postgraduate degree. 5-10 years of experience in health, safety, and environment work in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry with 1-2 years in medium or large site or large organization.

  • Lead auditor or co-auditor for health, safety, and environment management system including local legal regulations.
  • Certified health, safety, and environment auditor by training through internal course or from reputed organization.
