Job Title: Data Insights Strategist

The role of the Data Insights Strategist involves acting as a primary liaison between assigned business functions and the data analytics team. This includes understanding business objectives and translating them into actionable data requirements, prioritizing and managing incoming requests from business stakeholders, and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of analytics deliverables.

About the Role:

  • Business Engagement & Coordination

This involves acting as the primary liaison between assigned business functions (e.g., Sales, Service, Operations, Finance) and the data analytics team. The incumbent will understand business objectives and translate them into actionable data requirements, prioritize and manage incoming requests from business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of analytics deliverables.

  • Data Delivery & Technical Execution

The Data Insights Strategist will lead the end-to-end development of data visualizations, from requirement gathering to deployment and training. They will design and develop interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI, write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting, ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of analytics outputs, and drive continuous improvement in data visualization design, usability, and performance.

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration

The successful candidate will supervise and mentor a team of data analysts, assign work, review outputs, and provide technical guidance. They will ensure timely delivery of reporting requirements by managing team workload and capacity, promote best practices in data storytelling, collaborate with other data leads and the head of data analytics for cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a team or project lead capacity.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development (including DAX, data modeling, performance tuning).
  • Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, ETL concepts, and business process mapping.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and coach team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization concepts.
