SSIS Developer

Job Description:

The role involves monitoring and maintaining SSIS packages and ETL workflows that are critical to business operations. The ideal candidate should have strong debugging skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor production SSIS jobs and ETL pipelines to ensure timely completion.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to SSIS packages.
  • Provide level 3 support by analyzing logs, debugging SQL queries, and identifying root causes.
  • Proactively approach incident resolution within SLA.
  • On-call support is required for production incidents.
  • Perform impact analysis and recovery actions for failed jobs.
  • Coordinate with development and feature teams for bug fixes and enhancements when required.
  • Maintain and update job schedules, error handling, and retry mechanisms.
  • Create and update knowledge base articles for common SSIS issues.
  • Support incident management (Priority ticket handling) and participate in post-incident reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and escalation protocols.
  • Suggest automation opportunities to reduce manual monitoring efforts.
  • Have basic knowledge of project management tools (Jira).
Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SSIS architecture and package execution flow.
  • Proficient in SQL server – able to debug queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience in job scheduling.
  • Good understanding of ETL error handling and logging best practices.
