Logistics Operations Specialist

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for providing logistics support to internal and external customers. The primary focus will be on shipping, warehousing, and dispatching orders with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with Order Management, Order Entry, Sales, Project Execution, and Finance teams.
  • Perform designated logistics activities, including understanding Inco-terms and their implications from collection to delivery.
  • Ensure shipping releases and documents meet quality standards, adhering to custom rules at the destination country.
  • Book shipments and prepare COO/attested documents based on customer and destination requirements.
  • Closely work with the Trade Compliance team to ensure adherence to trade laws and regulations, as well as the EHS Team for safety at work.
  • Pre-alert customers/POD for goods delivered and follow up on GRN receipts within 24 hours.
  • Invoicing/Dispatch - Close Inco-terms specified by air within 24 hours from POD receipt and upload invoices on Customer Portals/Couriers within 5 days.
  • Prepare Letter of Credit and CAD shipments in line with Finance and customer requirements, handling DG/hazardous/dangerous goods properly.
  • Obtain exit certificate/export proof for each shipment dispatched within 5-7 days to align with VAT reconciliation.
  • Inventory Stock count and reconciliation - Conduct stock count and checks every month to ensure physical and book inventory reconciles.
  • Provide backup support for colleagues as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Commerce.
  • Strong communication skills in English - both written and verbal.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Shipping and Logistics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years industry work experience in Shipping and Logistics.
  • French and/or Arabic language capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
