Job Title: Embedded Firmware Development Engineer
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to join our team as an Embedded Firmware Development Engineer. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality embedded firmware solutions for our products.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop code that meets or exceeds those requirements. Your expertise in C programming language and experience with Linux shell scripting, Makefiles, and application programming will be essential in this role.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about software development and has a strong understanding of operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts. If you have experience with device drivers, kernel programming, and Yocto, it would be a plus.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, ETC, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial communication protocols such as BACNet, Modbus TCP/IP, HTTP, Modbus-TCP, DNP, BACNetIP, websockets, etc.
- Hands-on experience in developing quality software applications.
- Operating system knowledge, multithreading, and IPC concepts.
- Sound knowledge and experience of developing Linux shell scripting, Makefiles, and application programming.
- Working knowledge of Linux programming interface.
- Experience in embedded programming.
- Experience with device drivers, kernel programming.
- Extensive experience of using C programming language in products.
- Good to have knowledge of C++.
- Solid understanding of Operating Systems, Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, and design patterns.
- Experience on Yocto is a plus.
- Experience in power circuit breaker and trip unit is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written, to communicate information effectively to customers and technical staff.
