Direct Taxation Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Direct Tax professional to fill this key role.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Draft and submit assessments, appeals, and penalties for various authorities.
    • Represent clients before assessing officers and other regulatory bodies.
    • Prepare, review, and file income tax returns and TDS returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies.
    • Respond to departmental queries and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Litigation and Representation:
    • Brief senior managers and counsels on CIT (appeals), tribunal, and high court matters.
    • Develop and submit papers for appellate authorities.
    • Conduct thorough research on technical and legal issues in appeal cases.
  • Tax Advisory, Structuring, and Planning:
    • Provide advisory services on domestic and international taxation.
    • Prepare form 15 CA/CB for various clients.
    • Advise on tax structures and evaluate their tax implications.
  • Other areas:
    • Support senior staff in day-to-day assignments.
    • Contribute to business development efforts.
    • Solve client queries and provide assistance as needed.
    • Review tax audit reports and stay up-to-date with industry developments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of experience in Direct Tax.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian Direct Tax Laws and government regulations.
  • Ability to handle complex tax assessments and litigations.
  • Cross-functional data coordination skills.
  • Experience with transfer pricing and cross-border transactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective presentation skills.
