Senior Oracle Database Specialist

This is a challenging role for an experienced Oracle DBA to lead our database team.

You will be part of a highly innovative, dedicated, and high-performance team that requires engineering excellence in innovating new features and functions in customer-centric applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration with expertise in version 12c/19c. He/she will be responsible for installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases in various environments, as well as performing advanced SQL query tuning and schema design optimization.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science and at least 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in mission-critical environments. He/she should also possess certifications like OCP or OCM, as well as cloud certifications from OCI, AWS, or Azure.

Responsibilities include collaborating with developers and DevOps teams to optimize queries and schema design, as well as automating database cloning, backups, and monitoring tasks using shell scripts and PL/SQL. The candidate will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex database-related issues in production, ensuring minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (12c/19c and later)
  • Manage Oracle listener, network services, and connectivity
  • Configure RAC, ASM, and clustering for high availability
  • Monitor database health and availability using OEM and custom scripts
  • Perform advanced SQL query tuning and indexing strategies
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in mission-critical environments
  • Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration
  • Knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, ASM, OEM, RMAN, Data Pump, and SQL & PL/SQL development
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting
