Project Leader

The role of a project leader is to oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery and evaluation. This involves guiding research processes and deliverables of proprietary projects, overseeing efforts of team members conducting research and writing reports, working with senior management to develop and refine project scope, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables, driving staff performance to successful project completion, and ensuring content and quality of studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide research process and deliverables of proprietary projects
  • Oversee efforts of team members conducting research and write reports
  • Work with senior management to develop and refine project scope, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables
  • Drive staff performance to successful project completion
  • Assure content and quality of studies
  • Write and review reports for proprietary studies
  • Collaborate with project teams to conduct analysis, develop appraisal and recommendations, and prepare presentations and supporting documentation
  • Presents findings to clients
  • Conduct selected primary interviews to obtain critical insights and information
  • Support practice growth and development
  • Develop proposals in response to client requests, including scope, scheduling, budget, and client deliverables
  • Maintain and develop client relationships
  • Assist with business development meetings and presentations
  • Identify enhancements to project deliverables and work processes
  • Develop junior staff

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in consulting in the chemical industry
  • Experience developing, managing, and presenting project results to senior management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multinational team
  • Analytical, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve results that meet or exceed client expectations
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering (preferably Chemical), or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Foreign language skills are a plus
  • Good oral and written English language skills are required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
