Senior Accountant I, Revenue

The Senior Accountant I, Revenue will play a key role in driving revenue growth and ensuring timely and accurate billing within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle, including customer invoicing, month-end entries, and financial data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze formatted data to generate invoices for all service types and frequencies.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on invoicing prior to finalization and create detailed revenue dashboards to identify trends at the customer and product level.
  • Process credit memos and reconcile customer accounts as required, working collaboratively with contracts and other customer operations departments.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure data accuracy and identify anomalies in data trends, researching discrepancies to provide solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may lead to errors and assist with training staff accountants.
  • Assist with collections and cash reporting, as well as ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of customer contracts and invoicing processes, as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles related to revenue and related concepts.
  • Proficiency in systems used during the invoicing process and experience with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Sage Intacct and Salesforce experience are desirable, as well as experience with healthcare software and billing systems implementation.
  • Must be able to think critically and complete complex analysis of data, demonstrating an ability to quickly learn and follow detailed processes and steps.
  • Must be highly organized and able to work effectively at a fast pace, staying focused despite distractions and/or interruptions.
  • Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and reliable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong customer service focus.
