The Opportunity
In this role, you will work closely with experienced industry professionals to deliver fund accounting services for complex fund structures. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining books and records, including calculations of net asset values;
- Coordinating and reviewing financial statements and associated reports;
- Calculating carried interests, performance fees, and incentive fees;
- Coordinating investor allocations for capital calls and distributions;
- Reviewing partner capital account statements;
- Overseeing payments and transactions;
- Supervising production analysts and reviewing their work;
- Serving as the primary contact for clients and other stakeholders;
- Meeting client expectations by delivering timely daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting for financial services sectors, particularly private equity;
- Experience in reviewing financial statements;
- User experience with enterprise accounting systems;
- Working knowledge of Investran (highly desirable);
- Strong Excel skills, with 5-7 years of experience using formulas, tables, formatting, conditional formatting, charting, pivot tables, and pivot reporting;
- Excellent supervisory skills, with 4-5 years of experience managing staff;
- B.com or CA (Inter/Final) degree (desired).
