Job Title: Business Data Steward

Overview:

Data is the backbone of every business, and a data steward plays a vital role in ensuring its quality, accuracy, and integrity. As a Business Data Steward, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire data lifecycle, from data creation to data archiving.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and data owners, to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Analyze data flows, identify areas of improvement, and implement data quality controls to optimize business processes.
- Work closely with data owners to develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata management systems, and data quality dashboards.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to data governance policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance data quality and reduce errors.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related field.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality metrics, and data analytics tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
