Job Description

The CAD Lead is a pivotal role in the Engineering design and delivery of project deliverables. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and deploying work-processes, ensuring compliance with 3D CAD related guidelines on the project as per client and regulatory requirements.

This position requires the ability to verify project set-up, coordinate customization as per project requirements, provide user support, and have knowledge of engineering work-processes, CAD tools like S3D/PDS, drawings and reports needed on the project.

The candidate should also have knowledge of CAD tools like Smart Sketch/MicroStation/AutoCAD, Windows operating systems, review tools like SmartPlant Review/Navisworks, and inter-discipline coordination skills.

This role involves working with counterparts in other offices to transfer model data as per project division of responsibility between offices, performing 3D model data quality checks, providing project leadership team updates on project CAD issues, and trouble-shooting user issues.

The successful candidate should have EPC project experience and be able to understand business requirements. Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering work processes will be an added advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or diploma with 10+ years of industry experience from a reputable institution
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of various applications towards engineering and construction, related to piping discipline's design requirements
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to the discipline
  • Knowledge of 3D/2D tools especially S3D/PDS/AutoCAD/MicroStation
