Commercial Growth Specialist

We're seeking a seasoned Business Development expert to spearhead our new category expansion initiative at Amazon India.

The ideal candidate will lead a cross-functional team in identifying and developing high-potential offline product categories for Amazon's online marketplace. Their key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying market opportunities and developing strategic plans to drive category growth
  • Building and managing a high-performing seller acquisition team of 8-10 members
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop and execute category growth strategies
  • Driving seller onboarding and success metrics through process improvements and CRM tool utilization
  • Managing strategic initiatives and escalations to ensure seamless execution
  • Reducing operational defects in category-specific execution

To succeed in this role, the successful candidate will require:

  • Strong business development or sales experience with a proven track record of driving revenue growth
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze markets and spot opportunities
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to work well with different teams and drive policy changes
  • Ability to make informed decisions in ambiguous situations
  • Leadership experience or readiness to lead a team
  • At least 3 years of sales experience with a focus on B2B sales
  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
  • Experience closing sales and generating revenue
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar)
  • A track record of engaging with C-level executives
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
