Job Overview

As a seasoned professional, we are seeking a strategic thinker to lead our Structures department.

  • Cultivate and execute departmental strategies in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and objectives.
  • Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges within the department's scope and develop proactive approaches to address them.

Leadership Expectations

  • Provide inspirational leadership based on core values and the Ramboll Leadership Profile.
  • Lead, manage, and oversee the department's operations.
  • Recruit, mentor, train, and evaluate departmental staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Operational Performance and Profitability

  • Establish performance metrics, goals, and targets for the department and monitor progress towards achieving them.
  • Optimize resources, ensuring efficient allocation and management of staff, materials, and budgets.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations with technical heads, provide constructive feedback, and help recognize outstanding performance.
  • Present reports on the department's progress and projects to executive management and board members.

Financial Acumen

  • Ensure department heads effectively manage the departmental budget, allocating resources to support initiatives and activities.

Expenditure Monitoring and Cost-Saving

  • Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and high customer satisfaction.

Risk Management and Mitigation

  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the department's operations, processes, and projects along with technical heads.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, and controls to minimize the impact of risks on departmental objectives.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the department, motivating staff to explore new ideas, technologies, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
