Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to ensure the seamless operation of our systems, hardware, tools, and services. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the security, reliability, and efficiency of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor system uptime, health, and performance across development and production environments, ensuring prompt identification and resolution of any issues that may arise.
  • Troubleshoot local and remote problems related to operating systems, software, networks, and cloud systems, utilizing technical expertise to resolve complex issues.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to perform root-cause analysis and resolve recurring issues, applying analytical skills to identify areas for improvement.
Infrastructure and Security
  • Configure machines, access controls, and user permissions for new and existing team members, ensuring secure practices and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Support the implementation of secure practices such as system hardening, OS patching, and routine compliance audits, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization.
  • Assist in CI/CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure improvements and documentation, ensuring smooth operational workflows.
Hardware and Tools Management
  • Coordinate hardware procurement: sourcing laptops, peripherals, and licenses as per project needs, working closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery and effective support.
  • Work with vendors for equipment purchases, service warranties, and support escalations, applying negotiation skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Track inventory, machine handovers, and replacement cycles using internal systems, ensuring accurate records and efficient asset management.
Team Enablement and Documentation
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal TechOps requests, providing expert guidance and support to team members.
  • Maintain internal documentation, runbooks, and asset registers, ensuring that critical information is readily available and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Engineering to ensure smooth operational workflows, fostering effective communication and collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of experience in TechOps, IT Support, Infrastructure, or DevOps assistance and hands-on experience with Linux/macOS systems, basic networking, and cloud services (AWS/GCP). Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools and remote access tools is also beneficial.
