Accounting Operations Manager Job Description

Our organization seeks an experienced Accounting Operations Manager to lead our accounts receivable and payable functions. This pivotal role involves overseeing the accurate processing of invoices, timely collections, reconciliations, effective vendor management, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong leadership to the AR, Collections, and AP teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable & Payable Team during the US shift, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Monitor and manage outstanding invoices, ensuring timely collections and efficient cash flow management.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable and payable transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and customer service, to resolve any payment-related issues and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting regulations related to accounts receivable and payable processes.
  • Prepare and analyze AR and AP reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in CPA, CMA, etc. is a plus.
  • 18+ Years of extensive experience in managing accounts receivable and payable functions, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant accounting regulations like IAS or IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and financial systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
  • Availability to work during US shift hours.
