Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Backup Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing backup infrastructure and will be responsible for ensuring the availability of critical data.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust backup system that meets the needs of large Asian and European countries. This includes managing servers, databases, and NAS services, as well as contributing to the preservation of high performance levels.

This role requires a high level of reactivity, proactive improvements, and the ability to follow planned actions linked to new projects and/or incident remediation. The successful candidate will also participate in day-to-day operations and contribute to evolution projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Business Application Teams, Regional IT Teams, Global Infrastructure Support, and IT Security Teams to resolve issues, complete tasks, and deliver projects on time.
  • Plan and complete designated projects from start to end, providing regular updates on task and project status, and ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Responsible for SLA definition, reporting, dashboards, and coordination with the Global Head of relevant functional areas.
  • Ensure instructions and guidelines of the Group (esp. IT Security guidelines and Global ITI&P Governance) are respected, architecture is validated, and controls are run for audit points related to the tower.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High skills on Veritas NetBackup on Linux environments (GUI and CLI setup, management, and troubleshooting).
  • High skills on EMC Data Domain and OST interface with NetBackup.
  • Skills on Quantum tape libraries.
  • 10 years experience working in an equivalent position.
  • Team and collaborative working to develop and deliver appropriate solutions skills.
  • Experience of delivering strategic priorities within strict timelines.
  • Customer service-oriented skills.
