About the Job:

Mercedes-Benz is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its Research and Development team in Bangalore. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of embedded systems and software development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute quality plans in accordance with organizational QMS and ASPICE standards.
  • Execute the responsibilities of SW Quality Assurance Manager in assigned projects with a goal of reaching ASPICE CL 2.
  • Perform process compliance checks and deploy best practices across projects.
  • Support process harmonization and process improvements in the department QMS activities.
  • Define, deploy, and track relevant KPIs applicable to the projects.
  • Perform assessments/audits and software maturity reviews.
  • Manage, execute, and track quality activities, including release management.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure planned quality activities are performed.
  • Conduct process trainings on QMS, ASPICE, and AGILE approach.
  • Generate MSR covering all aspects or parameters of project/product quality and report to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, or Information Technology.
  • 5-8 years of experience in quality management practices supporting embedded system/software development projects.
  • Practical knowledge on automotive SPICE/CMMi, ISO requirements, and experience on AGILE way of working (SCRUM, KANBAN...).
  • Experience on usage of tools like JIRA, Confluence, RedMine, ALM tools, and defining workflows.
  • Process definition, deployment, and harmonization experience.
  • KPIs definition and analysis experience (e.g., in SDLC V Model, SCRUM...).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, go-getter, and stakeholder management.
