About the Role

  • Deploy and maintain enterprise-grade infrastructure in a cloud environment.
  • Release management, configuration, upgrades, and support of Java microservices, open-source tools, and third-party services in a SaaS setting.
  • Detect, diagnose, and resolve complex technology issues efficiently in a live production environment.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to escalate issues for triage and resolution.
  • Lead automation initiatives to prevent recurrence of issues and trigger automated actions to improve system availability.
  • Establish proactive monitoring of all systems, services, and networks to detect and resolve problems ensuring uninterrupted operation.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices in collaboration with the Security team.
  • Work with Architects and Engineers to design scalable network deployment architectures covering failover and disaster recovery setups.

Required Skills

  • A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Argo CD, and Helm Charts.
  • A solid grasp of systems (Unix/Linux, open source, JVM) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, SNMP, SMTP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, VPN, routing tables), load balancer setup, and firewalls.
  • Experience with container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes as well as VMware.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, scripting, and monitoring tools (ELK).
  • Experience with various queuing systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQL, etc.
  • Web Server/Application Server deployments and administration.
  • A deep understanding of multi-tier architecture, web-based development, and Service-Oriented Architecture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks between strategic projects for long-term impact and immediate production-critical requirements with a customer focus.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in setting up, configuring, diagnosing, and monitoring Enterprise-grade SaaS services.
