We are seeking a skilled Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of innovative mechanical designs and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop end-to-end product designs from concept to market, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Lead a small team of engineers, providing technical guidance and design reviews.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, firmware, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
- Work with vendors for prototyping, tooling, and production ramp-up.
- Review vendor DFM feedback and ensure alignment with quality and performance requirements.
- Support project planning, timelines, and deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation: BoM, ECNs, ECOs, DHF/Design history, PLM updates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of mechanical product design & development (NPD) experience.
- Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree.
- Strong background in consumer electronics, or similar domain experience preferred.
- SolidWorks CAD expertise with simulation exposure (thermal/structural FEA preferred).
- Proven ability to deliver end-to-end product designs from concept to market.
- Experience in leading a small team (2-3 engineers).
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
