Senior Real Estate Investment Analyst

The Amherst Merchant Banking division is seeking to expand its global service delivery footprint in Mumbai, India, with a goal of establishing a team of professionals working across multidisciplinary functional areas in close collaboration with U.S.-based personnel.
A key objective of the Investments team is to identify and capitalize on lucrative investment opportunities using market comparables to determine accurate rent, value, and initial bid price for single-family assets. The Analyst will be responsible for underwriting and locating investment opportunities that meet the company's stringent criteria.
Key responsibilities include:
- Underwrite each piece of property including rent, capex, HOA, property taxes and as-repaired values with high accuracy.
- Centrally participate in the acquisition of single-family homes by tracking the assets through various phases of the deal lifecycle.
- Apply market nuances and underwriting principles to drive informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or Finance and 3+ years of relevant experience in underwriting, brokerage, or other real estate related disciplines. Strong verbal and written skills are required to communicate effectively with internal and external professionals.
