Lead Data Architect

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned data architect with extensive expertise in designing and implementing large-scale data systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of scalable data architectures and solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data architectures to support business growth and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust data solutions that meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Leverage Azure services such as Data Lake Storage Gen2, Event Hubs, and Azure Functions to build efficient and scalable data pipelines.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep for automated provisioning and configuration.
  • Design and optimize cloud resource usage for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure clear understanding of complex data systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expert-level experience with Azure Data Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for complex transformations and performance tuning.
  • Advanced Python skills for data pipeline development and orchestration.
  • Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools for Azure.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security (RBAC, VNETs, Managed Identities), and compliance in Azure.
