Job Opportunity

The Head of Patent Search and Licensing will lead the firm's search and licensing vertical, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and business leadership.

This role is responsible for the overall performance, growth, and profitability of the vertical, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality IP search, analytics, and licensing services to global clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the strategic roadmap for the search and licensing business unit.
  • Aligning the vertical's offerings with market needs and evolving IP trends.
  • Setting annual goals and investment plans for the BU.

The role also involves revenue generation, P&L ownership, service delivery, quality assurance, IP monetization, client engagement, team leadership, staffing strategy, capability building, process excellence, business development, and thought leadership.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in engineering/technology.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Intellectual Property (preferred).

Experience requirements include:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in IP services, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing patent search, analytics, and/or licensing projects.
  • Global client experience across domains such as Engineering, ICT, Pharma, Life Sciences, etc.
