Job Summary:

Our organization seeks a highly skilled engineer with 8+ years of experience in oil & gas projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with process safety management principles and HSE standards across engineering, construction, and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Hazop, Hazid, SIL/LOPA studies to ensure safe working practices.
  • Prepare/review: Safety philosophies, Fire Risk Assessments, DDRs, Hazardous Area Classification to minimize risks.
  • Develop QRA, FERA, ESSA, and other safety studies (with third parties if needed) to identify potential hazards.
  • Review P&IDs, layouts, and equipment specs from a safety design perspective to prevent accidents.
  • Support Design Reviews, Management of Change (MoC), and Alarm Rationalization to optimize system performance.

HSE Management:

  • Support HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements for projects to ensure adherence to international HSE standards.
  • Conduct site HSE inspections, toolbox talks, and compliance checks during construction or commissioning to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) to minimize risks.
  • Lead or support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to learn from incidents.
  • Drive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors to promote a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Process / Environmental / Safety Engineering.
  • 8+ years in process safety and HSE, preferably in EPO/design/project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PSM, risk assessment, and HSE regulations to minimize risks.
  • Proficient in tools like PHAST, Pha-Pro, BowtieXP, DNV Software to analyze data.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC/P SM, TUV Functional Safety, or equivalent preferred to demonstrate expertise.
