Civil Engineering Role

At our organization, we are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in structural design and technical support, project planning and coordination, site supervision and execution, quality and safety, and quantity and cost control.

  1. Design and Technical Support

    The successful Civil Engineer will work closely with architects and interior designers to translate design concepts into feasible structural designs. They will be responsible for preparing and reviewing structural drawings, bills of quantities (BOQs), and technical documents to ensure compliance with building codes, international standards, and local authority regulations.

  2. Project Planning and Coordination

    The Civil Engineer will assist in preparing project schedules, resource allocation plans, and cost estimates. They will coordinate with the design, project management and construction (PMC) teams, and contracting teams to ensure timely completion of projects. Additionally, they will evaluate technical aspects of tenders and contractors for selection.

  3. Site Supervision and Execution

    The successful candidate will supervise site works, ensuring that the design intent and quality standards are met. They will monitor contractors and labor teams to ensure timely completion of projects, check material usage and workmanship to ensure adherence to approved specifications.

  4. Quality and Safety

    The Civil Engineer will implement quality control procedures for concrete, steel, and other construction materials. They will ensure safety practices are followed at construction sites and conduct regular inspections and provide site progress reports to management.

  5. Quantity and Cost Control

    The successful candidate will prepare and verify material quantities for procurement. They will check contractor bills and certify measurements for payment processing, and control wastage and optimize material use.

  6. Client and Team Communication

    The Civil Engineer will assist in explaining technical details to clients in coordination with architects. They will act as a bridge between the office design team and on-site execution team, attending review meetings and providing technical inputs.
